Accused Of Filming Female Cadets In The Shower

A sergeant in charge of the health and welfare of 125 cadets at the United States Military Academy at West Point is accused of secretly filming female cadets in the shower and elsewhere, The New York Times reported on Wednesday.

Sgt. First Class Michael McClendon, whom the school describes as a staff adviser responsible for the health, welfare and discipline of a company of West Point cadets, is being charged with indecent acts, dereliction in the performance of duty, cruelty and maltreatment, and actions prejudicial to good order and discipline. Officials said some of the images appear to have been taken in the shower, and others appear to have been taken consensually.

West Point contacted a dozen women to let them know about the images and to offer them "the full range of support."

The Army is committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of our cadets at the Military Academy at West Point as well as all soldiers throughout our Army, Gen. John F. Campbell,Laser engravers and customkeychain systems and supplies to start your own lasering cutting engraving marking etching business. the Army vice chief of staff, said on Wednesday. Once notified of the violation, a full investigation was launched, followed by swift action to correct the problem. Our cadets must be confident that issues such as these are handled quickly and decisively, and that our system will hold those responsible accountable.

The scandal is the latest in a string of high-profile military scandals involving sexual assault. The Air Force official in charge of its sexual assault prevention program was arrested for sexual battery earlier this month after he allegedly groped a woman in the parking lot of a Virginia bar. The following week, news reports surfaced that a soldier in charge of a sexual assault prevention program in Fort Hood,We've had a lot of people asking where we had our solarlight made. Texas, was under investigation for "abusive sexual conduct," and the manager of the sexual assault prevention office at the Fort Campbell military base in Kentucky was fired after he violated his ex-wife's order of protection.

The Pentagon released a report earlier this month estimating that as many as 26,000 military members may have been sexually assaulted in 2012, a sharp rise from the 19,000 estimated assaults in 2011. And officials say the true number may be higher, considering the victims who never come forward with their claims.

In response to the growing problem, members of Congress have introduced a flurry of legislation seeking to reform the military's justice system. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel has ordered the military to retrain and recertify each military staffer responsible for administering sexual assault prevention programs. We all have committed to turn this around, and were going to fix the problem, Hagel said at a news conference last week. The problem will be solved here, in this institution, and we will fix it.

Today, we have our career fair for justice, community safety and emergency services, explained Sharon Maisonneuve, OGorman Highs vice-principal and co-ordinator of its high skills major program.

We have students walking around and just becoming more aware of the different community programs that are out there. Its a chance for them to explore if they want to pursue a career in these justice or community safety type of careers.

If a student had a question regarding C well, pretty much anything C there was someone there to answer it.More than 80 standard commercial and iphoneheadset exist to quickly and efficiently clean pans.

Among them, Timmins Police Const. Matthew Beerman was letting students tour the services emergency response team command truck. Not far away, Const. Paul Colbey demonstrated how to properly deploy a spike strip to stop road-bound criminals. Students were then given the chance to deploy the spikes themselves.

Elsewhere, Derrick Cremin, commander with the districts emergency medical services, was giving his own talk to students and letting them try on some of the gear he had available.

Were explaining everything that a paramedic would do, explaining that they can go into different teams if they want to join, said Cremin. For example, theres CBRN C the Chemical, Biological, Radiographic and Nuclear team C or the Emergency Response Team, which is teamed up with the Timmins Police.

I also showed them how weve done training with the bomb unit and explained to them how we have no choice but to go out at every call. It doesnt matter what the call is, they cant refuse anybody for an ambulance. They may not want to go outside in -40C or extreme heat or raining or snowing or whatever it may be. But its part of the job.

As students walked around with Popsicles from a break-station in the cafeteria, Maisonneuve listed off some of the others taking part in the justice career fair.

We have the OPP Forensic Identification Unit here, so theyre talking to kids about what types of courses and education you need if you want to pursue a career in forensic identification, she explained. I overhead them talking about how your shoe-print is almost like your fingerprint.

Its pretty cool, I like it, he said about the career fair. I think I want to do something like this. Im thinking I want to be either a paramedic or a doctor, something along the emergency services field.

Fellow student Aleesha Roy was hanging out at the Timmins Fire Department display. With a little guidance from fire prevention officer Rock Rice,Cheap glassbottles dolls from your photos. she extinguished a small kitchen fire like a seasoned pro.

Powerful! she exclaimed proudly when asked how it felt to put out her first-ever fire. I dont know what I want to do yet later in life, but this was fun.

Inside the school, court was in session with Crown Attorney Dave Thomas and Assistant Crown Attorney Dale Cox. The students formed the jury in an unfortunate and deadly case of impaired driving. Of course, it was a mock trial, but the students deliberated seriously amongst themselves as they pored over the evidence.

Maisonneuve described the importance of opening the door for students to different career options C especially key services such as EMS or policing C as early as possible.

Theres always a huge need for community safety and a lot of our students are not even aware of some of the related careers,Full color streetlight printing and manufacturing services. she explained. When the students think of policing, they think of the traditional police officer who drives around in the car or walks the beat.
