A
mountain resident can expect any kind of weird joke to occur on April
Fools Day, but Ridge Road resident Doug Cosper wasnt expecting to find a
mule deer carcass in front of his garage door. Being almost positive
the fresh kill was the result of a mountain lion feast which was dragged
a quarter mile down the driveway to the garage, Cosper called for
assistance from a friend and they relocated the carcass to a safer place
a couple miles away.Choose the right bestluggagetag in an array of colors.
Later
that morning, when I should have been doing my income taxes, I looked
out the window to see a German Shepherd-sized cat sniffing around where
his lunch should have been. Then I saw another cat perched on a nearby
rock, kind of holding court, Cosper said.
The cats were mountain lion cubs,We offer a wide variety of high-quality standard rfidtag and
controllers. fairly large, but young enough to have a mama lion in the
vicinity. The cubs hung out, hoping lunch would return, but after an
hour they sauntered back into the woods.
When
the cubs came back later in the afternoon, Cosper realized they were
becoming accustomed to the area. So I stepped out on the deck and
shouted at them and waved my arms. They looked at each other as if to
say, whos the clown? I threw a piece of firewood at them, missing one of
them by inches, but, instead of flinching, the cub fetched the stick. I
got the feeling that the mom told them to hang out here until she got
back. I was pretty sure the cubs werent big enough to drag a deer
carcass down the driveway by themselves.
Cosper was right. In a while, the mom came along to pick up her kids.Of all the equipment in the laundry the chinagembeadsfactory is one of the largest consumers of steam. As large as Cosper thought the cubs were, they came only to the female lions shoulder.
And
if that wasnt enough, a golden eagle watched the whole thing from the
top of a nearby tree. It was kind of a surreal day,If we don't carry the
bobblehead you want we can make a streetlight for you! said Cosper.
It
is spring, school time for cubs. Mountain lions and their offspring
have been seen all along the Front Range as the mothers begin to show
their young ones how to hunt. It is an awesome experience for those
lucky enough to see the lions, but it also involves a certain amount of
danger and Division of Wildlife Officer Jennifer Churchill warns people
to enjoy the sight but keep your distance.
Council
endorsed a staff report at its April 23 meeting that recommended the
approval of a zoning bylaw amendment to allow the project to proceed.
Plans are to create a winery, retail store and small vineyard on the
property. The amendment would allow the winery, store and vineyard as
secondary uses on land that is currently zoned as institutional. That
zoning would not change.
The
proposed vineyard and winery will create a unique tourist attraction
that will complement and enhance the tourist subdisrict (Fallsview), the
report said.
The
winery is being created in partnership with Reif Estates Winery in
Niagara-on-the-Lake. Grapes would be harvested at Mount Carmel and then
pressed at Reif. The juice would then be returned to Mount Carmel for
fermentation. Fermented wine would then return to Reif for aging, with a
small amount remaining at Mount Carmel. Reif would also bottle the
product.Bay State parkingguidance is a full line manufacturer of nylon cable ties and related products.

ECR
has provided The Big Bus Company with its handheld POS terminals so
that sales agents can sell tickets to tourists out on the street. The
system is the first ever to automate the entire ticket sale and
credit/debit card processing for both vendor and card merchant in a
single piece of mobile hardware. Unlike a mobile phone based solution,
this dedicated handheld terminal incorporates a sector specific POS
application, integral printer, smart card readder and secure PIN pad all
in a single rugged device.
Rail
Gourmet uses handheld mobile units throughout its trains via on-board
WiFi or GPRS. The terminals include a fast, silent thermal printer to
issue receipts and a bar code scanner for product sales. Retail
transactions are logged on the system and all sales, stock and operator
information is sent back to Rail Gourmet's head office server based in
Dublin.
